The traditional countdown to Christmas will commence with the Christmas Lights switch-on to be held in Otley Market Place. This event will start at 5.45pm with a range of music entertainment and a range of attractions in the square, followed by a firework display.

Hull’s Christmas lights will be switched on in Queen Victoria Square.
As always, the annual Christmas Lights switch-on will include a host of special guests and performers on the balcony of City Hall.

Christmas launch weekend as the Museum comes to life with a stunning light show including a showstopping centrepiece, ‘Sentinel’, inspired by coal mining’s canaries. The man with the bag, Santa returns to collect coal for his stockings, and to kick off his grotto meetings with lucky visitors Underground.
