North Yorkshire will take center stage this autumn as Robin Hood's Bay hosts the grand departure of the inaugural Loxley Collection 500 UK Roman Road Classic Vehicle Tour. Setting off from the cliff-top Hotel Victoria on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd October 2026, classic car enthusiasts and spectators will gather to watch historic vehicles embark on a 500-mile coast-to-coast journey along Britain's ancient Roman road network.
The Yorkshire Start Line: Robin Hood's Bay 🌊🚗
The tour begins at the cliff tops of the North Yorkshire coast before pushing inland across the national park:

Participants arrive during the afternoon, lining up classic cars against the backdrop of Robin Hood's Bay. The evening features a three-course welcome dinner and live music at Hotel Victoria.
SPECTATOR VIEWING POINT🏁 Grand Departure Across the North York Moors (Saturday 3rd October 2026)
The classic convoy sets off on Saturday morning, heading across the North York Moors via Pickering and Malton. The cars then track south along Ermine Street toward Lincoln.

Crossing the North York Moors and following Ermine Street through Newport Arch to Castle Hill Square between Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle.

🌿 Leg 2: Lincolnshire to Somerset & the Cotswolds
Traveling through historic landscapes, ancient market towns, and Roman routes across the Midlands and West Country.

🏖️ Leg 3: Somerset to Mullion, Cornwall
Completing the final 155-mile stretch to the Polurrian Hotel on the Lizard Peninsula, concluding with a 20-mile coastal procession along Mullion Cove and Lizard Point.
