Filey Food Festivals 2026

Coastal Flavours and Panoramic Views

People enjoying the Filey Food Festival along the promenade in Filey, North Yorkshire

Posted on 5th July 2026

For food lovers seeking a coastal day out, the Filey Food Festival stands as one of the North Yorkshire coast's most established seasonal traditions. Rather than running as a single annual event, this popular market takes over the town multiple times throughout the year, spanning across the spring, summer, and autumn seasons.

Staged at the Evron Centre and Crescent Gardens, the festival positions its stalls directly along the clifftops, offering visitors panoramic open-air views across Filey Bay while they browse. Entrance to the festival grounds is FREE.

πŸ“… The 2026 & 2027 Festival Calendar

The festival operates on a regular four-part weekend schedule. Standard operating times for all weekends are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturdays and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sundays.

2026 Event Weekends

  • 🌸 Easter Edition: Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th April 2026
  • 🌿 Spring Edition: Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th June 2026
  • β˜€οΈ Summer Edition: Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th August 2026
  • 🍁 Autumn Edition: Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th October 2026

2027 Event Weekends TBC

Official 2027 dates will be confirmed by Scarborough Borough Council/Discover Yorkshire Coast at the end of the year. Historically, the festival follows the exact same seasonal cadence: matching the Easter weekend, early June, the second weekend of August, and the second weekend of October.

What to Expect: Over 70 Artisan Stalls πŸ¦€πŸ§€

The footprint of the festival expands across both the indoor rooms of the Evron Centre and the outdoor lawns of Crescent Gardens, hosting between 70 and 80 independent traders per weekend. The line-up balances local Yorkshire heritage produce with international street food.

Yorkshire Coastal & Farming Produce

Reflecting its seaside location, local seafood is a core focus. Visitors can regularly find dressed Filey crab, fresh lobster, and caviar stalls. Beyond the seafood, regional farm traders supply:

  • Gourmet Scotch eggs, hand-raised pork pies, and regional charcuterie.
  • A wide variety of locally crafted Yorkshire cheeses.
  • Small-batch preserves, local honey, artisan chocolates, and homemade cakes.

International Street Food

For those looking to eat on-site, a hot food court features pop-up kitchens serving freshly prepared dishes from around the world. Regular cuisines represented include Greek souvlaki, Thai street food, German bratwurst, Italian wood-fired specialties, and Caribbean jerk dishes. Dietary needs are well catered for, with dedicated vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free hot food operators mixed into the rows.

Speciality Bars & Drinks

A dedicated Yorkshire Real Ale Bar, complete with outdoor bench seating, is permanently stationed within Crescent Gardens. Alongside regional cask ales and ciders, specialized independent distillers offer retail bottles and glasses of Yorkshire-produced gin, rum, and flavored vodkas.
