The Halloween Ghost Train at Whistlestop Valley returns to Clayton West near Huddersfield for 2026, offering twilight steam train journeys through the woods alongside family Halloween entertainment.
Designed as a mildly spooky event suitable for brave young children and families, the experience combines evening steam railway trips with live costumed performers, atmospheric station displays, and seasonal activities.
The Ghost Train runs on selected evenings from Thursday 29th October to Saturday 31st October 2026. Trains depart from Clayton West Station in timed evening slots between 5:00pm and 7:30pm.

Key highlights of the Whistlestop Valley Ghost Train experience include:
- Twilight Steam Train Journey: Board the decorated narrow-gauge train for a 25-minute return journey along the line through dark woodland.
