Every December, the magnificent 13th-century architecture of Beverley Minster is transformed into a winter spectacle for the Beverley Minster Christmas Tree Festival. Featuring over 150 individually decorated real and artificial trees, the festival is one of East Yorkshire's most popular festive traditions.

The 2026 festival runs for ten consecutive days, starting on Friday 4th December and concluding on Sunday 13th December 2026. Each tree on display is decorated by local schools, businesses, charities, and community groups, filling the nave and aisles of the Minster with festive lights and creative displays.

What to Expect Inside the Minster 🎄✨

Visitors can wander at their own pace through the historic aisles to view the creative decorations and vote for their favourite displays:

• Over 150 Decorated Trees: Unique themes crafted by local community groups, youth clubs, independent traders, and local schools.
• Historic Surroundings: Set beneath the soaring gothic vaults and stained glass windows of medieval Beverley Minster.
• Community Voting & Prizes: Visitors can cast their votes for the best-decorated trees across different creative categories.
• Beverley Festival of Christmas Alignment: The final day of the festival (Sunday 13th December) coincides with the town's major annual outdoor Christmas market.

Special Evening Openings 🌙

While daytime visits allow you to admire the intricate details of the decorations alongside the Minster's historic interior, select late-night openings offer an extra atmospheric experience as daylight fades:

• Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th December: Extended evening opening hours until 9:00 PM (last entry 8:00 PM), allowing visitors to see the trees illuminated against the dark Minster interior.
• Standard Daytime Hours: Open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last entry 4:15 PM).
