Country shows are a day out for all the family and a celebration of the rural country living and lifestyle which is enjoyed across the county, from the flagship Great Yorkshire show to small village shows.

Established in 1982 - the original country fair of North Yorkshire in the beautiful grounds of Duncombe Park. Attractions include, trade stands, craft fair marquee, farmers market, static engines, vintage cars, tractors and motorcycles.

The Yorkshire Country & Game Fair is held at Scampston Hall. There is a vast array of country sports with loads of ‘have-a-go’ opportunities, to fine foods and animals – all this and lots more.

On Show day there will be many events and displays around the show field throughout the day including:- livestock judging, farrier demonstration, alpacas, rabbit and cavy show, craft and baking competitions, vintage tractors, display of classic cars, carriage driving, craft marquee, fire brigade and police displays, an abundance of trade stands.

Egton Bridge, eight miles from Whitby in the North York Moors National Park, is the setting for the oldest surviving gooseberry show in the country, established in 1800. The show is held on the first Tuesday in August each year by the Egton Bridge Old Gooseberry Society.
