Otley Courthouse is a unique development run by people in Otley, West Yorkshire. After an eight year development period we transformed a redundant nineteenth century magistrates court into a unique arts and resource centre for our community.

Harewood House

Oakwell Hall and Gardens

Hardcastle Crags

A spectacular wooded valley with 19th-century Gibson Mill at its heart A beauty spot of the South Pennines with more than 400 acres of unspoilt woodland. As well as being the home of the northern hairy wood ant, there are tumbling streams, glorious waterfalls and stacks of millstone grit, all crisscrossed by more than 15 miles of footpaths.

York Gate Garden

York Gate is a magical one-acre garden created by the Spencer family between 1951 and 1994. The design of ‘rooms’ interlinked through a succession of vistas and executed with meticulous attention to detail owed much to the Arts and Crafts movement, complemented by Sybil’s skills as a plantswoman.

Oakwell Hall and Country Park

Formed from a mix of old woodland, farmland and a reclaimed colliery, over 110 acres of country park surrounds the hall and gardens. With miles of trails for walkers, a new mountain bike run and orienteering course, Owkwell Country Park has something for everyone.

Anglers Country Park

Anglers Country Park is dominated by a lake, surrounded by grassland, woodland and a wetland area known as the 'Pol'. The Lakeside Trail is suitable for pushchairs, mobility scooters, walkers and joggers, a woodland trail is suitable for wlker and joggers. Bird Hides overlook the lake.

Ogden Water Country Park and Nature Reserve

Ogden Water Nature Reserve is a volunteer supported nature reserve aith a small but welcoming visitor centre (currently closed). It provides a wonderful environment for a walk or family picnic or to bird watch.

The Chevin Forest Park

The Chevin Forest Park offers great views over the lower Warfe valley and Otley and a lovely place for a family picnic. the more adventurous can enjoy walks, mountain biking, (it is fairly steep), orienteering and geocaching.

Golden Acre Park

Golden Acre Park is a 136 acre park on the outskirts of Leeds. The lakeside walk is particularly popular, visitors can enjoy woodlands, gardens, lakes, streams and ponds.

St Ives Country Park, Bingley

As a Country Park with the focus on the great outdoors St Ives is the place for walks, adventure play, horse riding, cycling, golf, fishing and archery. The main attraction for families with children under 14 is the large centrally situated Play Area.

Bingley Five Rise Locks

Bingley Five Rise Locks are one of the Canal & River Trusts Wonders of the Waterways. The towpath is a great place for walk or cycle ride.

Prince of Wales Park

Bingley
The picturesque, Grade II-listed Prince of Wales Park is situated across a large hilly landscape between Bingley and Eldwick. The park’s scenic winding footpaths through lush, wooded grounds provide the perfect backdrop for walking, running, and cycling. 

Roberts Park

On the banks of the River Aire, the park boasts a cricket pitch, café, and part hosts the popular annual Saltaire Festival.

City Park Bradford

The mirror pool is the largest urban water feature in the UK. It can be a cool, tranquil and misty space; a huge, reflective watery mirror, or a bubbling, squirting, popping and splashing fountain display.

Myrtle Park

Covering a large area at the centre of Bingley, it offers ready-made fun for families looking for a quick trip to the park, with a skate ramp, play areas, and an aviary hosting entertaining Cockatiel birds.

Roberts Park
