Spring is officially in the air! In Yorkshire, that means the arrival of thousands of fluffy new residents. Whether you're looking for a romantic Valentine’s date (yes, sheep are great wingmen) or a high-energy half-term family outing, the 2026 lambing season is packed with events.

Here is your guide to the best lambing live and baby animal feeding experiences across the four corners of Yorkshire.

Lambing Week at Boston Park Farm

  • When:14th to 22nd February 2026
  • Where:Bawtry Road, Hatfield Woodhouse, Doncaster, DN7 6DS,
  • What's Happening:Meet the friendly farmers, watch lambs feeding, take part in our popular lamb encounters, and enjoy a fun sheep hunt around the farm. The Lambing Week admission ticket includes full access to all play areas, the café, and the whole farm, making it a perfect family day out for all ages.

Lambing Festival at Cannon Hall Farm:

  • When:14th to 22nd February 2026
  • Where:Bark House Lane, Cawthorne, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S75 4AT.
  • What To Expect:Introductions to the new arrivals, Daily talks from the farmers, Bottle feeding demonstrations (when the lambs need it), Sheep and ferret racing, Tractor rides, Access to the amazing play areas

Little Hooves and Big Bottles at Swithens Farm

    • When:14th to 22nd February 2026
    • Where:Swithen’s Lane, Rothwell, Leeds LS26 0BT
    • What To Expect: Bottle feed baby goats or calves, hand-brush fluffy bunnies, meet our mischievous meerkats, feed carrots to our adorable animals, get up close to our friendly guinea pigs, and take a walk to see the highland cattle.

    Lamb Feeding at Graves Park Animal Farm

    • When:Daily until 10th May 2026
    • Where:Hemsworth Rd, Norton, Sheffield S8 8LJ
    • What's Happening: 10.00am, 12.30pm, 3pm & 7pm NOW AVAILABLE Bottle feeding experience for visitors to help with the new lambs that need a little bit of extra TLC. They are still being feed by our farmers early in a morning and super late on a night but we need your help during the day and at 7pm!

    Springtime Babies at Temple Newsam

    • When:23rd February to 31st May 2026
    • Where:Temple Newsam Road Leeds LS15 0AE
    • Why DenFest:Join Temple Newsam in greeting their Springtime Babies, where you can get up close with adorable newborn animals - soft, fluffy lambs, playful piglets, curious calves, tiny chicks, and more. Feel the joy of the season as life begins anew across the pastures, paddocks and barns of Home Farm.

    Lambing Experience at Big Sheep Little Cow

    • When:21st February 2026
    • Where:Aiskew Watermill, Bedale DL8 1AW
    • What's Happening: Learn how to assist a sheep during birth, deal with common problems that arise at lambing time, and help the farmers care for our newest arrivals.

    Springtime at Hesketh Farm Park

    • When:Easter 2026
    • Where:Bolton Abbey, Skipton BD23 6HA
    • Why DenFest:Throughout an Easter visit there will be lots of sheep giving birth and hopefully you will just time it right to see a newborn lamb’s arrival. Because we have lots of sheep all giving birth there are always orphan lambs that need our help to look after.

    February Frolics at Piglets Adventure Farm
