Beningbrough Hall and Gardens is a National Trust property located near York. Discover the house through the ages, explore the different gardens, the Victorian laundry and play in the wilderness playpark.
Inside the hall explore the story of the building from the families who built the baroque house to it's time as an RAF billet on the ground floor. The first floor is home to the Reddihough Gallery which plays host changing exhibitions of contemporary and traditional artwork.
The gardens of Beningbrough extend to eight acres and form several distinct "rooms". From the new Mediterraen gardens, the walled gardens, ha-ha walk, herbaceous borders and orchard. The garden evolves through the season with different focal points to see.
The Wilderness Adventure Playground is a great place for children to let off some steam, with swings, slides, climbing frames and more.
There is a National Trust shop on site, restaurant, during busy times a coffee shop, toilets and a second hand bookshop.
Most of the property is accessible, there are lifts in the hall and the majority of the gardens are accessible. Some paths may become muddy.
Dogs on short leads are welcome in most of the grounds. Please note, dogs are not permitted in the house, adventure playground or Victorian Laundry.
