Sheffield Festival Of The Outdoors

Sheffield has 61% greenspace and some of the best walking, climbing, biking and running you could possibly wish for (as well as with 5 rivers running through the city).
And so every March the city celebrates the days getting longer, drier, and warmer so that we can enjoy the unique place that is Sheffield, by hosting the Festival of the Outdoors.

You’ll be able to ride behind our guest locomotives and our home fleet across the three days, with intensive passenger service running on the railway. Across the traction-packed weekend, there’ll be a goods train demonstration and special double-headed trains.
Wildlights 20th Anniversary at RSPB Old Moor

WildLights returns! And this time the lantern trail will celebrate our the 20th anniversary of RSPB Old Moor. The WildLights Lantern trail will take over RSPB Old Moor nature reserve to celebrate our 20th anniversary with a beautiful trail of lanterns, lit puppets and sculptures to tell the story of Old Moor. There will also be crafts, activities and campfires. Get involved by making fantastic artwork for the trail at our family or community workshops.

Lambing Experience at Horncastle Farm
Selected Dates 16th March to 16th April 2023
Feeding times are 10:00, 13:00 and 16:30 - Sessions run daily - we will be releasing tickets throughout February for additional dates.
A total of 4 people can bottle feed the lambs per session with each having their own lamb to feed.
