York's annual celebration of it's viking heritage. The Jorvik viking festivl is an action-packed week long programme of events with something for all ages.
Wrap up and head out to see the first beautiful signs of spring on a snowdrop walk. Carpets of snowdrops on woodland floors are a spectacular sight.

With the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Park Authorities celebrating the jewels of the night sky. We go further in 2020 with activity themed around exploration. With over 100 events, join us on a nebula adventure to explore the cosmos for the fifth Dark Skies Festival.

In 2020 it’s a festival of Miracle-Gro proportions, running for a whole week from Monday 17 February until Sunday 23 February (the traditional food and drink market runs 21-23 February), and truly taking over the city centre.
1st February 2020
A celebration of the Yorkshire Pudding, an essential part of the Nation's roast dinners. The Festival will host a range of food vendors creating their take on the humble Yorkshire Pudding, mixing, stuffing and smothering them with a delicious array of home cooked dishes from around the world.
8th and 9th February 2020
Considered by many to be the second largest Steampunk event in the UK, and certainly one of the friendliest, another exciting weekend is in store with a number of activities, presentations and demonstrations lined up as well as the most fabulous Steampunk Retail Emporium.

A five-day extravaganza celebrating games culture, design and production, with special guests, workshops, master classes, and a fun-packed weekend for gamers of all ages. Hosted at Science and Media Museum.
