There’s something for the whole family at Mother Shipton’s this Christmas. Take a photo inside Santa’s beautiful sleigh and sit upon the magical Christmas throne, then visit the Elf Mail Post Office to stamp and post your letters to Santa.

‘Chocolate making with Santa’ experience where you will have the chance to meet Santa and even make delicious chocolate lollies with him and his trusty elf. Our guided tour experience will take you on a journey through the rich history of chocolate. You’ll be amazed by fascinating facts, interactive exhibits, and hands-on chocolate-making.

Father Christmas needs your help to keep him safe and well on his journey around the world. Collect ingredients for Father Christmas whilst you make your way around the museum, stopping along the way for some winter crafting and photographs on our very own Thackray sleigh.

Santa is visiting Sheriff Hutton Castle in North Yorkshire. This wonderful historic destination isn't usually open the public, for this special occasion Santa will be popping by to read stories, answer questions. Ellie the Elf will join him for some musical fun.

You'll be welcomed into Santa’s Grotto at our Boatyard, hidden underneath the beautiful Lendal Bridge in the centre of York. As you enter, your Captain will check that children are on the special VIP guestlist we receive from Lapland.

Santa will be bringing his elves and a host of Christmas décor to transform The Mansion into his base during December. Enjoy a light festive afternoon tea with a guest appearance from Santa Claus, followed by a private audience with the big man himself where children will receive a gift.

Prepare to be enchanted at Murton Park with our not-to-be-missed Christmas experience. Santa will take up residence in his village in the picturesque Long House which is oh-so Christmassy! He’ll want to find out what’s on your little ones’ Christmas list of course. He’ll even give them some special money to spend in our toy shop as a treat.

Elves will be here to guide you through your visit to Santa, making sure it’s extra special. Tickets to see Father Christmas include a private 1-2-1 meeting with Santa, where each paying child will receive a small Christmas gift. During your visit, your children will also be able to make a small bag of special reindeer food to take home with them ready for Christmas Eve!

This year, Fruit Market Hull is home to a unique winter event. Join us for a magical journey to Father Christmas’s workshop. Meet busy toymakers, have fun with playful elves and get photos with the man himself.
At the Santa Claus Experience, children will become honorary members of Santa’s crew, collecting gifts and preparing reindeer food in an hour-long adventure packed with songs and fun.

Make magical memories with a visit to Santa in the traditionally decorated Victorian streets of Abbey House Museum. Meet and greet Santa to tell him what you would like for Christmas, pose for pictures and receive a gift. The festive streets of 19th century Leeds will include traditional decorations, silly hats for selfies, a letter writing station to give to Santa, plus colouring in and storybooks for some quiet family time.

St Nicholas mirrors the Father Christmas of the past: a wandering storyteller, miracle-worker and a protector of children, bringing light, generosity, abundance and celebration to the dark months of winter. He is one of the fairy folk: the Holly King, clothed all in green and crowned in evergreens and ivy. Lady Winter, his female counterpart, is the introspective part of winter.
